Roof Damage Help .com

Hi, I am not sure if the tree belongs to my lot or the neighbor’s lot!
The reason is it is just close to the border between the lots and it is a rental property. what and how should I tell this to the insurance company? will fixing this be covered when it is due to a tree falling due to bad weather? THANKS.

It doesn’t matter who the tree belongs to. Damage from falling objects - including trees - is covered under the standard HO3 homeowners poliyc.

I have just had an unbelievably hard time with a hail insurance claim. I got my 3 estimates which ranged from $18,000 - $19,500. I called and asked how my claim was coming along. They said they would be sending me a check for $500. I had dealt with them once before and received $300 when all of my neighbors got their roofs replaced. So I started to fight immediately. It took going on the news, calling the attorney general, a lawyer and all my state representatives. They finally paid a reasonable amount when I got a meeting set up with my state senator and the actual insurance commissioner. I am looking for anybody else’s experience with this insurance company.
My policy is through GMAC/Homesite, but Homesite really seems to be the problem.

I am an agent who just licensed with Homesite but it was through Progressive not GMAC. I think this is the same company but they have an agreement with both Progressive and GMAC (Maybe other auto insurance companies).

I don’t have any experience with claims through this company but it really concerns me to read what you have to say about them.

Would you please consider keeping me informed how your claim ends up. As an agent I am not interested in selling for a company that is going to be this difficult at claim time.
